Who we are
At Velora, we believe privacy is part of quiet luxury. We collect only what we need to get your order to you, to answer you personally, and to make our small edits better. We never sell your data. Velora is operated by Velora Wear Co. Le, Org.nr 937 110 448. Email: support@norvae.co. We are the data controller for the personal information we collect about you. Our store is hosted by Amboras, who processes data on our behalf to run the website.
Information we collect
When you visit, shop, or write to us, we may collect:
- Contact details: name, email, phone, billing and shipping address
- Order information: what you view, add to cart, purchase, return or exchange
- Payment details: we do not store card numbers. Payments are handled securely; we only receive payment confirmation
- Communication and device information: messages you send to us, plus IP address, browser, and how you navigate the site, via cookies and similar technologies
- Marketing preferences if you join The Velora Letter. We do not knowingly collect information about children under 16
How we use your information, and why
We process and ship your orders and handle payments and returns under contract. We provide personal customer care on the basis of contract and legitimate interest. We send order updates and service emails as part of fulfilling your purchase. With your consent, we send The Velora Letter and show relevant ads, and you can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link. We improve our store, prevent fraud and secure our services on the basis of legitimate interest. We comply with Norwegian accounting and consumer law on the basis of legal obligation.
Sharing your information
We share data only with trusted partners who help us run Velora: Amboras for website hosting and store infrastructure; shipping partners to deliver your order; Meta and Google for analytics and ads (only with your cookie consent); and our email service for The Velora Letter. All partners are bound by data processing agreements. We never sell your personal information. Because some partners (including Amboras) may store data outside the EU/EEA (for example in the USA), we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data in international transfers.
Cookies and how long we keep data
We use necessary cookies to make the site work and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies to understand what you love. You can manage preferences anytime via Manage Cookies in the footer. We keep orders and invoices for 5 years (required by Norwegian accounting law), customer accounts until you ask us to delete them, marketing list entries until you unsubscribe, and support messages up to 2 years.
Your rights, security and changes
If you live in Norway, the EU or the UK, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email support@norvae.co. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity. No system is perfect, but we use industry-standard measures via Amboras, encrypted SSL connections, and limited access to protect your information. Please do not send sensitive data via unsecured channels. We may update this policy as Velora grows; the date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
